Vuillemin's new SX ride revealed in Houston
by DC

David Vuillemin's search for a new ride for the rest of the 2006 Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Series ended this afternoon, and the Cobra is going to be riding Suzuki. Vuillemin, who went to the BooKoo Honda team after a half-dozen seasons with the Yamaha factory team, tested a Maestro Suzuki this week with Jeff Dement but then turned around and apparently joined the Bloodshot/Fly Suzuki team of Tyler "One Punch" Evans. Vuillemin will ride a Suzuki RMZ-450 beginning with the Dallas Supercross; he plans to use the two upcoming off-weekends to get used to the new ride (he had never ridden a Suzuki until this week) and to also get back into race-shape, "One Punch-style."

"Tyler has a unique approach to the team and how to market himself, and I respect that," explained Vuillemin outside the TFS Mobile Media Center to a few industry insiders. "What he needs is some help with his speed, and I think that's where I can help right away." When Steve "Prefers" Cox of Dirtrider.com asked if the team would now be called "Two Punch," Vuillemin laughed and said, "Hey, you've seen me fight before, so maybe 'One Punch and a #### Slap' might be more appropriate!" He was referring to his infamous slapfest with Stephane Roncada at the Atlanta SX from several years ago.

Evans was not available for comment, as he is injured, but TFS promises to track him down and get more on this breaking story.

That's what I figured! You have to admit, they would make a sweet team. Tyler can run interferance (stuffing all of the other riders) while DV wins the races! Ahhh TEAM WORK!

Apparently Racer X fooled even Two-Wheeled Tuesday; here is a link to RacerX talking about it:
