I just bought a 2003 ktm 200exc yesterday and i knew there were a few very minor problems like wheel bearings it was running way to rich but other than that it rode fine and shifted fine. so today i took it out and tried to ride it started just fine then when i tried to shift into first it just jerked and stalled indicating that my clutch was not engaged so i adjusted it the little knob but nothing happened any suggestions?

could be low on mineral oil in the clutch resivour, could be the clutch hub nut and lock washer came loose, trans oil too low or several other things. You might need to bleed the hydrolic clutch at the bleeder by the countershaft sprocket.
Do not use brake fluid in the clutch resivour!!!!!

bleeder is on left beside the stator cover. Use mineral oil in it only then pump your clutch lever gently and hold it tight, bleed off a small amount with a 8mm wrench until the lever moves tward the hand--grip, then tighten the bleeder and release the clutch lever. Repeat as necessary to get the air or dirty fluid out of the system.

It could be some of the other things that I mentioned too!!
