Nice bike, thing looks pretty sleek. But they are right, your never going to sell it on here. Not due to quality or price, its just due to the nature of the people who visit this site. You would be way better off on craigslist or ebay as said before. best of luck selling it!

i understand nobody means anything bad, they are just going to have to learn to deliever their opinion with a little less disrespect because anybody who has put as much blood sweet money and tears, (not as much literal tears as everything else) into a bike as i have would completly understand. if i had another back wheel assembly i would sell the wheels to ya in a second, all i can piece out wheel wise it what sits off the bike, being an oem front wheel assembly with brake disc and brand new dunlop d742f m/c which if is something your interested in ill shoot u for 50 bucks u pay shipping.. the forks, 100 bucks? i dono if i should appreciate the sincerity of trying to help or take offense to the sarcasm.. u want that rear shock for a 100 bucks its yours, check the msrp on that, its 858.00 and the thing has been used twice, so if its something you are interested in further let me know

chr2stwo:
2004 honda cr125r. to many extra's to list, will list if seriously interested. rg3 suspension rebuild, excel black rims, asv break aways, motor that sit's in bike is bored and milled, wiesco 54m piston. brand new bottom end. pro circuit platnium series, pro circuit 304 series silencer, pro taper cr high bars. custom swing arm to allow 14t in front. works radiator braces, tag metals skid plate, did gold chain. tag metals 52t rear sprocket. enough spare parts to almost build an entire nother bike, will piece everything out. spare motor has under 5 hours on it. here are pictures. i am open to all trade offers as well.. if you see anything you like im willing to sell seperately as well. im looking for 3500.00 obo for everything, more then fair considering the blue book on the bike is 1700 and the suspension alone (diamond kit) is 3250.00 through www.rg3suspension.com i priced all the other spare parts that i have off of ebay for fairness, and it totaled over 3400.00 the motor alone is 900.00 on ebay. i havnt even rode the bike since i have replaced the top end in both motors, and replaced the fork seals. also comes with the service manual shops use.

fact of the matter chr2stwo is not that you are asking too much fo rthe bike and in a different economy, you would pobably get somewhere near that. Lets look at the reality of the situation, you are asking for 3500 for a bike that IS 5 YEARS OLD, no matter the upgrades or not I will tell you that your not going to get that much and you are much better off parting that bike out. You can find 08 125s for that price right now and it is a big difference. Have you had any bites for the price you listed yet? Im going to bet not.

No one was trying to be a jerk here, just realistic which I do no think you are being.

I.e.,

jsut an idea of what prices really look like.

what is so hard to understand that 3500 for that package IS NOT UNREALISTIC.. do i expect to get a buy, no not really, not with a buncha people looking for hand outs, but thats not my problem. im not opposed to parting the bike out as i have already said like 4 times, if i was selling the bike by its self, i wouldnt ask more then 1700 why? because thats the resale private party bluebook on it still and shops are offereing me wholesale on that which was like 1400 for JUST the bike. do i really expect someone to buy the bike off a forum and pay shipping on it, of course not but how can people hate for the effort. if i were to do that i would eat all the money that i have put into the bike and walk away. however, if you know what i have for that bike you would know, all you need is a frame which you can get off ebay for 200 bucks, and a rear wheel, and you have TWO bikes!. two 04, cr125 bikes, in near flawless condition both worked and maintained by somebody who actually knows what they are doing, one of them with a suspension set up worth more then the resale value of the bike its self, now tell me one more time PLEASE that 3500 isnt  lowballing my self.. i just watched a 04cr125 go on ebay for 2100, alone, as is, not sitting nearly as nice as mine sits, as is. so one more time people please listen this time, i do not expect someone to jump on this right away because i understand the economy and the lack of buyers in the market, however that does not make my price WRONG. and furthermore, this thread was intended not to sell the whole thing soley as a package, but possibly for anybody looking for parts for an 04 cr125 or a motor to make an offer.. do your homework elsewhere where it is realistic, go price out everything of what i have on ebay which is the most realistic buyers market for used equipment and please tell me one more time that its unrealistic, because i have done my homework, math, and maintence on everything of what you see.. and the lowball disrespect isnt appreciated. since when was motocross derived of a buncha economic buisness majors that forgot you get what you pay for, thats not how i was brought up in this sport.

i have a price list, if you want me to waste my time listing it all, NOT MSRP, but ebay, i will just so you people get a real idea. that subframe alone is like 200 bucks on ebay. go check the MSRP on it, HA. imagine this, someone with this bike, tweeks their subframe, which i have done.. (if you actually ride hard enough to break parts on your bike you may understand this) this is my 3rd subframe for the bike.. i already went and paid the near 500 dollar msrp on it once, the 2nd time, i went to ebay because i couldnt find it the first time there.. guess what i paid then, 220. thats one of the many things that i have, for an example.

I'm sorry, but you can't just add up the prices (msrp or ebay for that matter) for the parts that you put on a bike and say that that is the value.  For the most part, it doesn't matter what you do to a bike, as long as it is in good running condition, you are still only gonna get about blue book for it.  The same goes for cars and trucks.  You bring a pimped out ride to a dealership to sell or trade they are gonna give you the Blue Book price for it.  They don't give a darn what you did to it.  It usually makes them harder to sell anyway because they will have a smaller audience.  The same goes for your bike.  Yeah, you might have a bunch of sweet and expensive mods, but it does really increase its value, only makes people more or less interested in it.  I understand your reason for putting it on here, and I see no problem with it, but you have to understand you can't add the prices for the parts you put on it into the value (at least not that much).

its not the parts on the bike im asking that price in regards to, its the parts that sit OFF the bike, i have almost 2 complete bikes here, and the blue book on this bike stock is 1700, add that together you get 3400.. subtract the price of a frame and front forks on ebay, 400 bucks, alright now we are at 3000.. i figured someone may appreciate the engine work, maybe the suspension work, maybe even the immaculate condition the bike has been kept in.. but apparently not, 2 motors with brand new wiesco top ends and brand new bottom ends.. i dont half ass any thing i do when it comes to my things, i take pride in what i have and i would expect the same from my buyer, however i also said or best offer, take that all into consideration and say now i was asking 3000obob, lets see what people think about that, or once again.. if someone wants something pieced out.
