Got some of it back together and then...took something else off. Here are some pics. I will post a video of a bearing in the shock to see if you think it is worn.

that bearing is fine as far as i can tell, they are supposed to move like that. clean looking bike, how much was the chain?

It really isn't that clean when we took the shock off i looked at the linkages and they had dirt caked on em.

OK I got off work early, took the plastic and the tank off, and washed the dust off. Now I can relax. I think I found a slow leak though.
CR your dad has the auto shop, right?

Front tire, I aired it up and will check tomorrow. I have to grease the axles this week and will change the tube then if I have to.

Anybody ever seen a shock in a million pieces here it is.
Here is the oil seal that holds all the oil and the pressure from 142psi of nitrogen.
Here is the inside of the shock body.
