what do you mean by touching the ground? i can get one full foot down or tippy toes on both feet on most 125's, and i consider this perfect for me. i'm 5'8". at 5'5" you will need a lowering link to be able to do this.

I'm with Ride red, also im 5'8, and 1 foot fully contacting ground or both tippy-toes is just rite for me. As he said a lowering link may be just what the Dr ordered.

Do not worry about touching the ground with both feet,as long as one can touch and hold the bike up things will be fine.
My son has the 09 sx250 and is about 5'6' circa 140lb in weight and can only get one foot on the floor.
The main issue is overall body strength in holding the bike up whilst kick starting it and fighting it when it does its best to throw you off.
