New KTM owner!!

Ok, I got a lot of great help in the noobie form, and I ended up with an 03 KTM 200MXC. For those who did not see the other thread, I am a big guy 6'3" 330. For starters the fork Springs and settings were setup for a 300lb guy, so I should be ok there. The back springs will have to be changed, that will be one thing I do for sure. The bike has a new frame, fresh top end and a new stock exhaust.
I was thinking a new aftermarket pipe and silencer will be some other good additions, but what else would you suggest? I have about 2k to spend on the spring, pipe & silencer and any other aftermarket parts. This will likely be the only money I will have to spend on the bike for quite a while, so I want to get what I can now. With that 2k I also need a helmet, boots, gloves, goggles, etc. Since I just will be casually trail riding, I don't see the need for a full MX suit.
Hit me with some suggestions!

I'd go ahead and get the riding gear, and even stock up on stuff like 2 stroke oil, air filter cleaning kit, spark plugs & wrench, gas can, stand, ramp, etc. Then see what you have left for mods. What about the tires? Are they still good? And check the sprocket to see if the teeth are hooked at all. ASV unbreakable levers are a good investment, as are hand guards if you're riding mostly off-road and forests.

I'd do exactly as Six5 said but I would buy atleast pants and a jersey to go on with your helmet, gloves, boots, and goggles.

Hi Boss, I concur with six5 and zackn. A device for carrying water (backpack-type) is a must-have component of my trail riding. I carrying snacks in it as well. Your KTM does not need much because they are built to be raced right out of the crate. The 200 likes to scream, so don't be afraid to make it...

Congrats! I agree with six and zack, I was also thinking mabey a good K&N air filter, new cushion grips for long rides, and mabey some graphics to get it looking good. Just some ideas, let us know what u decide to do.

Thanks all!!
And, that comment did not offend me, it made me LOL!!
I ordered the spring and got a helmet and gloves so far. I will look around in the next few days for a graphics set, it's too plain as is.
I will try to get some pics up too!!

Also, since the bike is new to you, I'd do an oil change and air filter cleaning right away. You could even flush the radiator if you really want to get anal. You never know when the last time the previous owner did it. Also, if the bike was sitting for a while you might even want to drain the gas from the tank. Also go around and check all of the bolts to make sure a) they're all there b) they're all tight. Oh, and check the spokes for any loose ones. You'll want to buy the correct sized spoke wrench. You could even check the packing in the silencer and possibly repack it. There are tons of other things, but that should get you started.
And most of all enjoy it, have fun, and be safe!! Getting a new bike is exciting.

I think you should do a bunch of things to it now, and save some for later and then ride it for a few monthes and then if you notice something that you would like changed/added, then use that extra money to get it. Just a thought...
