just wasn't meant to be :(

I got my cylinder, and piston kit today. everything goes fine right, everything goes super. until a bolt snaps off inside my cylinder. one of my head bolts twisted off inside my cylinder, not even snapped, it twisted off. Whatever metal rotax used for their bolts, it does not stand up to time. it did the same with nuts on the cylinder last year which i replaced. only difference is now i have a length of threaded metal stuck in my cylinder. i have no idea how to get it out. ez outs won't take it out there is to much there to ez out. i suppose i'll have to bring it to a machine shop to have drilled and re threaded with a bigger diameter.

long story short. i'm out for another summer. i guess it just wasn't meant to be.

aghhh, i was apprehensive to even fix the damn thing because something always goes wrong. fortunately i have connections at a machine shop about 12 miles from my house that can drill it out and re thread it, i'll have to get an over sized bolt for it. it won't be that expensive. it is just so discouraging. i'm just about broke, had plans for what money i did have, and have been waiting almost a year to ride. i'd sell and get something else but all's i would be able to afford would be a used 2 stroke which would end up having issues and need more money.

that's what an ez out does will, i'll try it, depends on many things, i had to put my tools away and clean up the coolant, go for a run and just leave the bike for tomorrow. sometimes just walking away and coming back with a level head is teh best thing you can do when working on something.
