yes, correct, thank you for mentioning that. i don't have the tools to do it, was wondering if it was necessary. i'm not using loctite on them anyway, but if it is for the best i can probably borrow a tap from someone. thanks pdk.

You can sometimes use a dental pick or something like that to get the old loctite out.

i'm mobile!!! i went out, 25 bucks for the stud to be removed and he tapped all the threads to make sure they weren't damaged, he did that for free. went out the hardware store, bought new bolts, special crush washers, came home put it together, started 3'd kick, i warmed it up, let it cool. and then i rode around not more then 1/3 throttle or so for about 15 minutes and it is presently cooling as i speak. i need to get a ride to my friends house for my helmet though... words cannot express haha

hey man nice to hear everything is going smooth! I wanted to ask you a question about my Uni Air Filter. I took it out a while ago it's a little dirty but not that that dirty and i felt the outer layer and i find it doesn't feel like there enough oil? What do you recommend i do to see if there is enough oil in outer layer of the filter?

the only thing i would do is clean it, and put the proper amount back on, any other way would require putting more oil on it and squeezing the excess of which will drive that dirt into your filter which equals bad. you're probably gonna have to clean it! can't hurt.

it should feel kinda sticky, not like you touch and and there is slime dangling from your fingers, but you should touch it and there should be some slight residue left on your finger.

ok to clean it i brush the top and maybe the inner foam with my hands and then i put a bucket of hot water, and i spray the K&N Cleaner on the air filter and follow instructions for how long to let it sit there and then i put in water and work out the dirt with my hands and should i drain water and repeat to get all dirt out? After that i let it dry for tonight and tomorrow i take it and spray it with K&N Oil, so i spray all of the filter once? And inside and out of outer layer and foam? Or do i spray out and inner for both top and foam part? Then i squeeze as much oil as possible then i take the rest off with a paper towel and ready to go?
