haha that is a great feeling, when my family and i went to the blueman group they wiped some of the blue paint on my little brothers face, same thing oh boy. that smile lasted until he fell asleep on the train ride home and even in his sleep he was smiling.

i know it... god damn, it was my fault though, i knew it was old, really old, and i replaced the rear last year but i neglected to do the front. a little time and effort in advance and i'd still be riding. i was on a dirtroad going pretty fast, 5th gear, popped it into 6th at the base of a hill and it lifted up, i dropped it down and that's when it happened. haha, had to ride it home not the best time in the world let me tell you.

dagg, the engine is austrian, it is a rotax, atk is an American company yes. yet another update, more bugs to work out, with a 12 year old bike these things happen and while they set me back i know they move me closer and closer to a beast i can depend on, my shift shaft broke, actually, it stripped out last year, i knew i would have to replace it so i figured why not, i drilled a hole in it and set a pin in, well the whole made the shaft weak and it snapped today. this is a major blow as i will now need to take my cases back apart i'm thinking, can't remember exactly how it went. engine is fine and strong, rode it yesterday after fixing my tube, and all today (until now).... might put it up for sale or trade just to see what i can get.

dude I wish I had a 12 yr old bike. Mine is 31 years old! lol . That's a really nice looking bike. I'd get another one but keep that one because it's unique and looks like it's in excellent shape . Stuff breaks on all bikes regardless of age. You could've had a brand new bike and broke the shift shaft on a stump or rock or something so don't get discouraged. Half the fun of owning an older bike is fixing it up. But it's nice to have something reliable to take out as a main ride. I'm hoping to get another bike after this one is all done and I can afford it
