I am trying to find out which suspension upgrade would be better. I have heard that the RG3 diamond kit is great but i have never ridden on it. I also read recently that fox has great suspension mods. Since i ride mountain bikes, i know that fox makes great shocks. When i get more money, i want to upgrade my crf450r's suspension. If anyone has tried either of these i would really appreciate some feedback.

I have RG3, and i love it, they took my stock forks and moddified them to all of their stuff. so RG3 is my opinion on dirt bike suspention.

He most likely has the diamond kit as he has J-Laws all-out race bike. If it was me in this position I would get fox.

well the 550-600 was for just the revalve and stuff like that, but the kit it looks like i have is that setup called "A KIT" so what ever tht costs is what they paid for it all i saw was the revalve payment recpit

well then it must be a diamond kit then, because i know its not their top of the line, the guy i bought it from said it had a sweet RG3 setup. and my shafts are not titanium coated, so it must not be a kit. But i bet its in the $1500-$2300 rang in price. I like my suspention alot its very nice.

The RG-3 revalve starts at around 450 for front and back.
the diamond kit which is very nice stuff starts around 2500 all inclusive If you just want the DLC coating it is about 1000 for the front and rear. A great national amateur level suspension product.
The A kit is as close to works suspension as a non factory 450 rider will get. It is what the lites riders and privateer 450 riders use the starting point for this is just over seven thousand.
If you are looking at getting any or these I would also look at the Ohlins suspension, very good stuff. Check out CopperSmithMX.com They also sell the Fox Shock.
Alex, when that was J-Laws it did have an A-Kit which you may still have on there, if so the suspension is worth more a stock YZ-250f

The Coating if not anodized may not be real obvious and will be DLC and not Titanium Nitrate that is 90's stuff.

I know its RG3 on my suspention mark, but could it be "a KIT" with out the DLC coating???? because i like my suspention and the pro race team guy i bought it off of told me so, the only reason i believeed him was because he had 7 other yz250f race bikes and showed me the revalve recipet. lol and ya it was j-laws bike i think it would have some nice stuff on here.

The receipt you saw may be a revalve of the A kit or it could a be stock revalve. J Law would be riding an A Kit for racing. The 250/Lites cannot ride works because it is not available to the public, one of the lites production rules. My guess is that this was practice suspension which would be stock but set up for team use with a very meticulous and tested revalve.
In either case you've got suspension most could only dream of.
