I am 15 years old 5'9'' 145. I am looking to buy my first dirtbike. My only experience I have is ridin my friend's klx 140L around in some trails. I loved the klx 140L and i am thinkin about gettin it, but i dont know if i should. I am also thinkin about a crf 150f, tt-r 125, and a crf 100f and a klx 140L. Which bike wud yall recommend?

set on a few honda crf-fs and yamaha ttrs, you might find you like the 230 better than the 150,100,or140. What is your budget?

an 85 will be a handfull for a beginner on trails. I'd go for a CRF150F or if that's too big mabey a KLX140L. Let us know what you decide!

a 230 is small for you...you are an inch taller than me, about the same size...it just feels big for now, but you should more than easily be able to put two feet flat on the ground with it.
a smaller bike will really inhibit you from learning...i love my 230 and even it is small...it feel very crunched when i'm standing on it, which makes it difficult to want to stand...when you're learning, that's the last thing you want...you really want to stand, not sit.
plus, a 150 is basically the same exact bike as the 230 except with different motors....

The best one would be the CRF230F, but if you think it's too big, then yes, the CRF150F.

The 140 is competion to the ttr125 which is a small bore play bike. the 150 is more like the 230 which is a mid size bike with better suspention than the 140/125's and overall a little bigger in size.
