Hey rowdy-riders, haven't been home to post up.....I work wayyyy to much. Canceled a gig at the local pub and took my Moto-Monkeys to the races. The weather was totally awesome, cloudy 82 degrees, super-technical track, and they kicked some butt. Jr got 1st and Brandon worked hard for a 3rd overall. Maybe I'll toss a few photos in too ;0

Early bird gets to the gate wayyyy too early

Yah the Boa is 5 yr old(6ft 6in) about 22lbs of snake. The race season is almost over here, we got 2 rounds left. They got so many trophys....I need to make a trophy room, seriously we have stacks of plaques and trophys everywhere. I think Brett Jr. has the points lead and Brandon is around 5th in points. He sure has picked up some corner speed lately, makes me look silly when we ride:O He made wide reciever first string, and has a hot GF that races also here lately. He wants a yzf250 for his 13th b-day, I envy the little monkey.

3 living room walls are covered w plaques, I took pic by the trophys, and the ball python cage. Good idea too, a 250f/trophy/man-shed/ room add on. Yep I like it! I wonder how big it should be to hold all that stuff and me, tools, guitars, and a bunch of beer, a mini-fridge, snacks, etc, etc etc

Trophies can be a real headache LOL. I amassed a nice pile of them, organized them by type (motocross, desert, enduros, trials). I recycled my trophies into awards for BMX races or other bike races I put on for my friends and neighbors years ago, keeping only the name plate from each one. I kept a shelf of the favorites for years, then got it down to 1 trophy (for winning the number 1 plate in 1979) and 1 plaque (for finishing the El Trial de Espana in 1985, the last event I rode before losing my eye). Now the trophy is gone and all I have left are my memories and that one plaque.

It was a club series, where we put together points from our motocross races, desert races and trials events. To earn the clubs #1 plate you have to compete well in all three disciplines. And I had some tough competition in Scott Harmon (current #1 plate holder that year), Jerry Purkett, my two brothers Steve and Dave, and the usual gang of everyone else.
