i replaced the throttle cable on my sons bike, the throttle works great but as soon as you kick it over it goes right to high idle. some guy told my to try the idle screw which i did and it didnt work. any other ideas.

The idle screw didnt help at all?? Thats odd. Make sure the cable is oiled. If that doesn't help, the slide may e sticking since you took it out. I would pull out the slide and lube it with a little 2-stroke oil.

Give that a try, see if it helps. If not, there might be a few other small things to try.

Dont forget, the new cable is a little shorter. The old one would have stretched. So you may need to fiddle with all your throttle settings a little.
