When I start my bike it has NO power, sounds cranky && sometimes even have to bump start it. It also cuts out before I have chance to select a gear.
The carb is clean, fuel consumption is correct.
I really don't know what could be wrong with it, Absolutly GUTTED!!!

HELP!!!

Lack of compression would be my guess.

I only rode the bike three times, purchased off Ebay few weeks ago.
Never changed the topend or the the crank rod.
To be honest I don't know much about bikes...
Really looking for help!
How do I solve this?
Thanks

Well, buying used, there is a good chance your top end is gon but its hard to say. I will search for a top end rebiuld on here and see if there are any step by step pics and procedure so i dont have to write it out. hold on real quick.

First step if you can, get a compression tester and get some compression readings. Pull your spark plug take a pic and post it up here so we can see it. Pics help a lot.

What year is it?  Any ideas on how many hours on bike?

Hate to say it, but your best bet is to get a manual (if you don't have one) and pull the top end (do atop end if needed), clean the carb and give the bike a good going over.  It could be a number of things, but since you don't know its history etc its best to do the above.

This is one of the pitfalls of buying used from Ebay etc.  Did you do a pre-sale ride or the like?

now this is obviously a different bike, but it will give you an idea of what you will need to do. I put a step by step slide show in it.

It is a 1999, no idea on the mileage.
Where could I get a manual from?
the carb is really clean.

It was fine when I picked it up, rode it few times on my field. Then it cut out!

Welcome and where are you from.
You can order a manual on line or at a dealer

If you order one off ebay make sure you get clymer.  The professional shop manuals assume you already know everything

Try a fresh (new) plug as a first step.

What type pre-mix oil are you using and at what ratio is it (32:1 etc)?
