That would be an easy bike to learn on. How did you decide on a 4-stroke?

It would be easy to learn on...but i think you might out grow it quickly...have you thought of something bigger?  What exactly to you want to accomplish with this bike?  What kind of riding do you want to do?

well if your riding trails then that 140 should treat ya well but depending on the trails you msy out grow it if the trails are really wide so you can go fast or are they really technical.

i definatly at your hieght would not go lower in CC's [power] unless you are getting a MX bike a 140klx should do well for just starting out and learning.

at you're size and height, i'd suggest the crf230f...you're also plenty big enough for a full sized bike, so keep in mind that if you want to continue to ride, you'll probably out grow a small bike quickly...depending on your financial situation, it might be better to just start with the bigger bike.

i dont get what the cc means. i mean a klx 140 has like 140 cc and a crf230f has like 229 or 230 cc.... Does that determine how fast it is?

the number of the bike is roughly the CC's (cubic centimeters) of the engine...a 140 is about 140, a 230 about 230cc's (closer to 229..haha), a 450 bike has a 450 cc engine...etc.

the number of cc's is basically the amount of fuel that can be displaced and ignited...generally the more fuel that burns, the more energy that is produced, meaning the faster/more powerful the bike is.  so a bigger engine will burn more fuel and be able to produce more power and go faster (theoretically).
