csully: the number of the bike is roughly the CC's (cubic centimeters) of the engine...a 140 is about 140, a 230 about 230cc's (closer to 229..haha), a 450 bike has a 450 cc engine...etc.
the number of cc's is basically the amount of fuel that can be displaced and ignited...generally the more fuel that burns, the more energy that is produced, meaning the faster/more powerful the bike is. so a bigger engine will burn more fuel and be able to produce more power and go faster (theoretically).
thats exactly correct courtney or me and you heard the same info because i thought thats what CC means too. i agree a full size bike for sure, have you checked craigslist.com???? they have a great bikes there for cheap look in your area.

dang, I'm impressed court!
Go for a CRF150F if a 230 is too big.
