Other than cleaning what do I need to do? And what types of paint should I buy to do this? And maybe a finish to keep paint from getting scratched up easily? Thanks DR.

I just read up on this. You should use a paint that flexes but this is real expensive. Some guys just used the krylon fusion to paint it. After you paint then put a clear coat on it to protect it.

Thanks Justin for the response, how'd the braces look with the krylon fusion paint?

The blue and yellow one is with the fusion paint. Pink one is the actual car flexible paint.Painting neck braces

Guess I should wait until riding really picks back up in the spring so it's not all scratched up then, love the blue and yellow one. Wouldn't go with any riding gear that I have though. Thanks again!

I don't have mine painted (likely would look scratched quickly; but do have a decal set on it.  That dresses it up.  There is also a removeable cover you can get (I can't recall who makes it).

Do a googlr search on Leatt decals and covers and see what you get.

Dont paint it, they sell graphic kits for these CR, just wait and purchase the graphics kit. Everytime I spray paint something I can always still smell the paint for a long time and the fumes suck. THe make Leatt brace graphics for fairly cheap, I would say this is your best bet. The paint is going to wear and not give it anyscratch protection opposed the the graphics kit.

I agree with Dave,
An additional concern with painting any protective gear is the type of paint, some paints may deteriorate the structural integrity and protective ability of the brace just as they do with helmets.
I don't know enough about the exact structural materials of the the brace to recommend a safe paint.

I think as previously recommended, unless you can positively identify a safe paint,
I would get a graphics kit.
