im 5'10" and 200lbs. Ive been riding a xr250 for a while but want a bike that has suspension for soaking up jumps. Im also broke so im going for a 2-stroke and cant decide between a 125 or 250. Im afraid that if i get a 250 it'll be too much power and i'll scare myself out of riding it. In fact it happened already i was putting on my buddies yz250 and the powerband kick and scared the living *** outta me. my girlfriend says that because im pretty heavy the 125 wont move me and my buddy says that I'll eventually get bored of the 125's lack of power. What should I do?

Only you know if it will be too much for you but consider getting a 250 and changing the rear sprocket until you gain some confidence on it.

a 250 if needed can also make it a bit slower
