first pair of boots

dad yelled at me for ridin in some old work boots last time out lol. 20 years old n he still givin me sh!t. o well i guess hes right. so im lookin at gettin a pair of ridin boots. wanna spend less than 150. was lookin at the o neal racing element boots. jw what ya guys thought about them? and if ya guys had any other recomendations?

I've never worn those boots, so I don't know what to say about them.  But I know a bunch of guys here wear the Thor Quadrants (I think) and really like them.  I'm personally partial to Alpinestars because I like the support they offer, but they tend to be more expensive.

I believe the A-stars tech 3 boots are only 199...

Just try some on, buy what feels comfortable for you.  

i know motorcycle super store sells the 08 fox F3 boot for $180 if you pay attention to commercials i know yamaha, and honda test riders both wear them great boots for a better price

I had F3's and hated them. Got new A'statrs T8 for $180 on ebay. They are great feeling boots, but I'm having trouble with the buckles unlatching while I'm riding.

I wear Thor Quadrants and they do rock, like Sully said. It took me a bit(2 rides) to get use to them, after riding in work boots for a while. They were 100$. My bro has the Alpine Tech-3's and they were 200.

I bought the Element a few years back. Its good if your just messing around on a farm or w/e but on the track, not so much, your going to have to spend some more to get quality boots that you can really rely on.

I just picked up a pair of alpinestars tech 6 boots off of craigslist for a hundred bucks and they where only used twice, so there in mint shape, made me happy as hell today, now I just have to get used to them.

Can I ask how much they were? Thinking about getting some tech 7s next spring for senior pictures.

i got a stars tech 3 and they are alright. fly racing has som good lookn maverick boots though!
