I bought this a few months ago and just put on the bark busters and a few other bits here and there. Awesome bike for offroad enduro and trail riding - we take the bikes into the quarry and the field river behind where I live for a thrash almost every weekend. Takes an absolute beating and loves every minute of it. Sure theres faster bikes out there but not many that hold up to the punishment an XR can take...

Go the XR!

Nice bike Mark. And your right, they are tuff, its not always about being fast, in my book its about having fun no matter what your riding. JMO

I see mirrors, is it road legal?  Nice bike I would love to have one.

i see turn signals so it must be. id love to have a bike that can take off road punishment and still be street legal. maybe i should do that to my 250x.

yep, 100% road legal. Even been pulled over by the cops a few times but they just wanted to check rego and let me go. I dont ride it on the road much tho - mainly just to get to where were gonna muck around n stuff.

Put a 12 tooth front sprocket on last week - lost about 20km/h off the top speed (which was about 120 - 125km/h) but got STACKS more torque. Does donuts and wheel stands stacks easier now. Didnt really wanna go much faster than 100km/h on this bike with the brakes its got anyway. cost $20 - best value mod I've done yet.

headin away this weekend up to Morgan for a massive dirtbike bash with about 8 other bikes. WR450's, kwacka 600's and stuff - gonna have to thrash my little XR to keep up!

some more pics n vids of my bike in action http://obsessivevoid.blogspot.com/search?q=XR250R
