oil filter cap orientation on cr 450r?

changing the oil and filter on my new 08 crf 450r, was not paying attention to oil filter cap orientation when removed. there are 3 ports on the inside of cap, looks like 4 ports on engine where filter and cap go. the manual doesn't say anything about orientation, (prolly assumes you know) it is important, or what?

It may not look like it but the bolt holes on the cap will only line up one way.
