now that i think we have the front brake figured out there is still the problem of my bike running real bad.  at first i thought it was the spark plug or dirty carb,  but it wasnt that.  i tested my piston for compression and its not that.  so i did some research and i guess it could be the clutch or the reeds.  here are the things going wrong with it.

1- it starts real hard
2- you have to constantly use the clutch, and you can hear it slipping
3- it boggs down at full throttle

i hope it doesnt take too much more money to fix this problem now too.

sounds to me like you have narrowed it down pretty well.  The reeds are where I would go first.

yea, im going to take them out and check them.  idk what to look for in the reeds though besides cracks and stuff.  and also, today i tightened adjusted the clutch cable and it did help a little better.  the thing is im supposed to race next weekend and im not sure if racing it will not be good.

if you got a good compression reading then the reeds are probably good. you should do a leek down test and chk the carb for problems...I.E: jetting or dirty or leeks?

Definitely check the clutch, known to wear quickly. What mix are you rinning by the way?

it is a hinson clutch but ive had it for a long time.  if i do need to replace the clutch would i have to replace the basket too?  and if you are talking about oil to gas  i was running amsoil at 50:1  now im running the synthetic honda racing oil 32:1  it actually didnt start acting up untill i started running that honda oil.
