smalltown_guy:
Thanks for the idea Force. Ive been using this industrial degreaser from work, simple green and boat loads of elbow grease lol. great thread!

DLHamblin:
We use simple green as well; it works great. I've had people tell me if you let it sit too long on aluminum it dulls it but I haven't had that issue (but I also don't let it sit too long as well!).

I've never had that issue either most likely for the same reason  . And it puts off the most enjoyable aroma! lol

This is true.  They are often out for a day or two on rides or doing work for stories.  If he has any questions I guarantee he will respond.

We generally don't respond to trail tips. Either we use them or not. We are using yours, and thanks for the better picture. That first one was a little shakey, but the second was nice and sharp. KK

I use WD-40, i spray it on everywhere, then i leave it for a while, then i take a clean cloth and wipe it like in a polish style lol. They recommend it(WD-40) in the installation paper that came with the pipe.

Never heard of Mothers before.

Oh and the WD-40 works great btw! It also works great for cleaning a chain and sprockets, no degreaser or whatever comes near it!
