Window 7, $30 for students.

Here's a great offer for those with a valid school e-mail:

Thought this may be helpful to some!

Buying it now.

My concern was that I was going to have to do a clean install however I read this...

You only need to do a clean install if you are using XP or are using the Windows 7 RC and have no plans to re-install Vista to upgrade. If you're running Vista and are doing a version to version upgrade (i.e. Vista Home Premium to 7 Home Premium) then you can do an in-place upgrade without a clean install that will migrate all files, settings, and programs over automatically.

That is nice..I'm upgrading now...Thanks Lindsey!

I'm going to do it as well today.

No problem, one of my many bosses passed it along to me. He told me "anything to get people off Vista" HAHA. I can't wait to get rid of Vista on my laptop.

How did it go pin_it?

Court, MJP, Hella and Alex were distracting me all night. I'll do it today and let you know. I'm excited to get rid of Vista as well, I even sent it along and told my sister to do it ASAP lol.

I've been running the Beta and the 7 RC for 8 mos. now.

& is good, the RC is still a little flukey with sharing and networking, but I'm sure the OEM will be great.

Clean installs are ALWAYS best, but if they say Home premium vista to home premiun 7 is good, i would believe them

Home premium has been the choice for gamers and game machine builders. but i prefer the Ultimate due to the fact that it has more functionality.

Still looks like a great find ML. (hahaha it looks funny when i get to type ML )

Yup, ANYTHING to get people off vista.

This is a great deal. Too bad I don't have a valid school e-mail address, but I'm sure I'll figure something out.

Haha... Jimmy & "import" don't know each other. Atleast I don't think. I'm on the same ship as import, yet from another location. LOL, if that makes sense.
