My buddy gave me his old TTr230 for free (why not), I rode it for a bit last year, seemed down on power but it ran good still.
Now i got it to start (after a while) it was running fine, except with ANY throttle input the motor would choke and start to die.
I dont know much about Dirtbikes, but i think its the air filter. Anyone got any ideas or can tell me how to go about this? Anyone have any basic repair info or manuals?

Welcome to the boards
The airfilter is an easy enough clean....let me find a thread on air filter maintenance.
but, more likely your carb is clogged, which will have to be cleaned out...

If the engine dies when you try to give it throttle, the pilot jet is plugged. That happens when the bike sits. You need to take out the pilot jet and clean or replace it. Then the bike should run.
