Hey im pretty new to riding and especially to the mechanics but ive been having a problem with the throttle. I have a yamaha ttr125 and it idles fine, but when you give it just a little gas it bogs out. At low rpms it struggles for power and is fairly inconsistent in that power. i was told to clean the carburetor and i did that but my problem is still there. Any suggestions on what it may be? i know theres a lot that can go wrong im just not very good at the diagnosis.

Ok. thats a good thing. i used to have one of these bikes and had ur exact problem after every cold SK winter lol. carb would gum up and bog out real bad. u cleaned ur carb? but how god of a job did you do? blow all ports with air, carbn cleaner and run welding wire through jets? if that fails then when u go to start it try the first couple kicks with choke on and after about 10 seconds (no throttle) turn choke off. then kick it without choke and give it some throttle then update back here

ok i cleaned out the carb really good, sprayed out everything with air, and did the choke thing also.
it only started one time out of the 20 minutes i tried to start it.
Sooo maybe fuel pump?

i would look at changing the jets because mine wasnt starting good until i changed the jets because the gunk in the carb gets stuck in the jets

yeah ill probably check that out then.
typically it starts first couple kicks and the throttle works semi-fine for a minute and it idles fine..
But when i put it in 1st gear and start to go it spudders and has trouble going.. then when i stop it will idle, but every time i give ANY throttle it puts out and will die unless i stop with the throttle. after that happens it wont start again. i dont know if that makes it something else or not but thats the update.
