This is just my mechanical luck, was riding down the road, i change up to gear 4, and then it makes a crunching sound, no drive at all, i start shifting down and more strange gear crunching noises, i stop, and its stuck in gear, i was able to get in neutral, i start it again, take off in first fine, then change into second and the same thing happens, only this time i cant get it into neutral, somehow it clicks in after a while, now im about 15 k from anywhere, first gear seemed to work fine, so i had to ride home in first, when i got home, there was no way i could change out of first, its absolutely screwed, the gear shifter is stiff. wont do a thing. Hope its nothing too serious, if anyone can help me out that would be great. I dont want to take anything apart until people have some idea of where to start. Thanks.

there is only one starting place in your case. pull out your engine. split the cases in half and inspect/replace all the f*#ked gears and selector components.

sorry mate i feel bad for you. this has happened to me in the past twice. first time i sold the bike, second time i decided to have a look. its not as difficult as you may fear it to be.

there could be something wrong in the shifter mechanism.. you wont know till you take it apart.. guessing at prices wont do any good. taking it apart is free if you have a manual and the proper tools.

Well i dont have a manual, but i know a bit, but i dont really trust my self. Does anyone have a manual who could scan the disassembly bit? Will i have to remove the flywheel by any chance?
