i recently bought a 2005 cr f450r does anyone know of any problems to watch for?

valves they had valve problems that year on the R i believe

very strong and reliable, my buddy has the same bike..
change the oil very frequently, trans and engine oil are seperate. change them often
and use good oil.
the valve issues were mostly on the 250f or badly flogged 450's
but checking them on schedule is still very important
have fun with that airfilter too!!

had an 06 crf 450x with valve issues,check um when they tell you and,change to a more reliable aftermarket valve when it reaches its service limit

yeah i heard the air filter was a pain. i bought the bike in september and i still havent got it(havent had the time to get down to oregon). i was also wondering how the suspension was

suspension is great showa seals last a long time also!they make an airbox conversion kit makes it alot easier to service PC RACING.COM.good luck
