My life was changed by bizarreio world, keep it.  I read front to back cover to cover.  I say keep it and if Jimmy is out of town have KK or PP or LL fill the space.

It gives the mag a personal touch.

There are some issues that I skim through and toss, but I always take a few minutes to read rigged. What will take the place of Rigged, if it is discontinued?

Well, I just received the Nov issue of DR and there's no JR column this month.  There is a small mention of this and it said our letters will tell DR to bring it back (or not).  Writing letters can be time consuming so I'm taking the easier way out and posting my opinion here.

I like reading JR.  He has an insider's perspective that offers a different slant on our sport, however,  I only read the JR column after I've read the bike shootouts, gear reviews, the pages of The Dirty Part, etc.  If I don't get around to reading JR, that's ok.

If there's a choice between having enough time to write JR and doing reviews of the bikes, that's a no-brainer.  Maybe have someone else sub for JL if he's tied up elsewhere.  Once in a while you could have Karel's Korner, Jesse's Jive, Pete's Postings, Chris' Cranium, etc.  Just my two cents.

(ps - GREAT job on the AS-IS article)

I typically enjoy (and read them).  But, not sure if this has anything to do with it; but I can see where coming up with one month after month would be difficult.

I like your idea of having it spread to the other editors.  I think that would be a great idea.

YEA!

I like it alot; we should keep it, but,

If you want to shake it up a bit, or ease time constraints,
2 or 3 times a year replace it with a recorded conversation
between Jimmy and another person of interest in the DR world.

The interview you had with #199 this month was good, but I think
it would be better if it was more like a 2 way conversation between
Travis and Jimmy. Simple really, at your content meeting come up with
some basic subject matter for conversation, then record 15 or 20 minutes.
Trim that down to a page in the editing room and print it. The complete
conversation can go on the web after the conversation prints.

Don Emler would be a nice conversation as I think the
300cc KTM that his company developed is a watershed moment
in the advancement of motorcycle technology (I am in love)....

and lastly.....

That was about the finest issue of DR I have read. Everyone
on the staff should be proud of the fine product you put out...

I just got my Nov D.R. and no Jimmy rigged. I always enjoy it and often read it to my wife. It's funny how owning a dirt bike can change your life ( for the better) and how you look at things. Bring Jimmy rigged back!

Maybe he could do a more straight line editorial. And hit some of his favorite subjects.  Such as Noise reduction , responsible riding.  Maybe try to get riders involved in special events such as the ride for breast cancer, he could call the article," a breast is a terrible thing to waste",  or even Autism, and call it " a person is a terrible thing to waste"  or maybe one on J law,  " a life is a terrible thing to waste".

Jimmy Rigged is the first thing I read.  Frankly, I've had to cut back on how many magazines I read, and I kept Dirt rider BECAUSE of Jimmy Lewis.  Keep JR.
