I RECENTLY PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2008 XC-F. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAD ONE OF THESE AND IF YOU HAD ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIKE. SO FAR, I LIKE IT BUT JUST WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT LONG TERM MAINT OR ADVISE. THANKS.

i dont have one but i racied my friends 06 in a hare scramble and i rode an 02 a few months ago that i was going to buy. i like them for hare scrambles alot more than the yz 125 i used to have. i havent gotin a chance to race mx on one but i dont imagine they would be to good at that but for trails they are alot of fun

Had one , but she`s gone..Bike alway`s ran great.. i`m a kook , i changed the oil every 2 hours ride time ,filter every ride..I had a issue w/08 530 with metal chips in the oil screen.which went away with a couple oil changes.. but i am still in therapy because of this.. haha ..both o8`s are gone ..now i have 2010 530xcw excellent bike cept for the graphics... keep her maintained and she`ll run 4-ever..ride on

Welcome to the forums 
I have the two stoke version (XC-W 250) and it's a great all around bike. All the Big 5 manufacturers produce excellent bikes and as long as they're maintained, you shouldn't have any problems at all. The owner's manual gives you the proper maintenance schedule.

i've been eying them up as far as i can tell if you wanted to mx on it you probably could if you configured the suspension a little different
