Whoo! What a workout today. I think this was the last ride of the season..I might try for one next weekend..but chances are slim, as we are busy I think.
I gotta post and run, but...

Mud. Mud. Mud. We have never been on these trails before, my Dad found them via the internet..and we gave them a try. My god..some of the worst mud and conditions I have ever rode in. The weather was great, but the mix of rain the day before, clay, and some mud..made it hard to keep your back end under control. It kept sliding out! We were going through mud left right and center..and with that you just chose the best route possible. My brother got stuck quite a lot..and my dad only once, I got stuck..0 times. . My brother got stuck right in a mud whole..right up to his back fender..because he had no momentum..so it took all of us to get his bike out..I have pictures later. Then my dad whiped out in some bad loose stones..and broke his clutch handle..back to the truck for a repair, and on again.

Basically all it was. It was really fun, lots of water, mud, clay(made for rough rides sometimes) and a brisk temperature. OH, best part, we stopped and saw our friend(Todd, who use to race everything out there) with a few of his buds. First time we have seen him out riding. We were going to go with them, but we had to get back.

Wow, I didn't realize it was that much posting..but it was a fun ride for all 3 of us.

Sounds great Brad, glad you got another ride in before the end of the season! It's snowmobiling time!

Too bad your bike doesn't have an odometer - you've put some serious miles on this year!  Even thought the clay can be slippery, it will make you a better rider if you ride in a variety of terrains.  Glad you had a good time.

No problem! I always enjoy your guys' stories, I though I would post another.

Hair, the clay is okay...but it makes for hard control in some situations. We ride in all kinds of terrain. But when we ride up north we ride dirt...here its more clay then dirt, so it's different, by up north i mean the cottage.

It's gonna be a pain to get it clean though...ugh. Still had some mud on her from october riding.

We don't have snowmobiles, since my family doesn't like the cold, yet we live in Canada..i don't get it.

I already said, I'm going to come live with Alex in cali over the winter so i can ride a lot more! And yeah, the 230's really do take what I throw at it. And since I am over weight..it is holding up really well. Nothing broken yet..and we have hit come nasty stuff.

It sucks too, because we were just heading over to the other side(where we normally ride, turns out its connected by a trail/tracks we ride all the time!!) to hit some jumps before we had to head back...but then my Dad slid in a bunch of stones, and the bike just fell over, and broke the clutch...so we had to head back. Then we replaced it, and rode in a hell of a lot more mud...

Note: It's a good stress reliever...

Yes..we hit wet mud and leaves in october at the cottage..it really makes you grip tight, the leaves offer no grip..at all. Especially in a deep forest. But, was still fun!

time to start winterizing your bike and getting all the little upgrades you would like to have for next season. Great write up.

Thanks Mike. I try to keep up with some of you guys on here, write up wise.

And oh yeah..you should see my list. Then there's the "oh..i could use that at some point, right?" list. LOL! But there will for sure be some new things added, and I will post pics, because it will be my first upgrade and such on it.

Enjoyed the yarn Smasher.   You'll have to talk the old man into a set of handguards so you can keep riding after he bails.   The best money you'll spend....
