if a kx 125 is sputtering real bad does that mean their is trash in the carb or is somthing else wrong with it

most likely carb, could be bad spark, or low compresiion. i got the same problem right now with my yamaha it clears out once it warms up though. does your kx125 do it when its warm and cold?

well  you would have to ride it 5-10 mins to find out. your never suposed to give a bike thats not warmed up more then quarter throttle. all 2 strokes sputter before they warm up, its also not good for your piston and cylinder.
