The DirtRider.com forums are meant to be a family oriented, enjoyable

place to discuss our mutual topics of interest: Dirt Bikes and riding.

In the process of discussion, however, some points must be followed.

1. Remember that people of all ages may be here, so any material of

adult/inappropriate nature will be removed by the moderators.

2. Everyone has favorite brands and opinions, and enthusiasm is

welcomed. However, putting the same energy into bashing other brands

and opinions is NOT encouraged. Thus, if you see a thread concerning a

brand or opinion/topic you have no interest in; it's preferred to seek

other topics than to just visit a thread to be negative. This is about

dirt bike ENTHUSIASTS!

That doesn't mean that you cannot offer a differing opinion or point

of view. It just means that you have to do it constructively.

3. Personal attacks are strongly discouraged, and are subject to

deletion/editing.  This includes racism, hatred, and other expressions

of negativity toward posters.

4. The moderators are here to help keep down redundancies, remove

inappropriate material, and to be alert for any posters intent on

detracting from what should be a fun and informative site to discuss

all things Dirt. If you have any questions or need to complain about a

poster and/or material, please contact the moderators via Private

Message. If it is a complaint about a specific post, please provide a

link to the proper thread.

5. When wanting to share an article from another source, please just

post the intro paragraph and a link to the rest. It takes up less

space and helps to avoid potential copyright problems.

6. In order to ensure that we don't have any unfortunate incidents,

please host all images on either your personal hosting or a free image

host such as imageshack or photobucket before posting them on here.

Many sites will swap out images being linked to from other sources,

sometimes to highly offensive material.

7. Any links to offsite content, particularly competing sites, may be

changed by us to links to respective Dirt Rider content if deemed

necessary.

8. No post count elitism. The opinion of a poster isn't worth less

just because they are new and have only 30-some posts, nor does it

count more if they have several thousand posts.

9. We didn't realize this was an issue but...NO DRUNK POSTING.

Seriously. Just don't do it.

10. Take it easy with the avatars. No half-naked/bikini/etc shots. If

deemed offensive by Dirt Rider, it will be removed.

11. Off Topic.  We have a forum for Off Topic (topics non dirt bike

related) and that should be used for these type posts.  If you feel it

needs to be in one of the other forum areas please start the subject

with OT-

What happens if the rules are not followed?

From this point on, first you will receive a PM when you are out of

line by a MOD.
After that if the situation continues you will get a 24 Hour ban to

cool you head off and come back refreshed.  Lastly, if the situation

continues, you will be banned.

So please take a break when you get into a heated discussion as we

want you all to stay here and contribute, but we have to remain in

somewhat order around here.

Also, take note, any bait threads will be automatically locked &

deleted.

These rules will be enforced.  If you feel you cannot live within

these rules, then this is not the forum for you.
