This thread got pushed way back by all of the fake threads being posted.
Anyway, I should have been unemployed Sept 15, but the job will last until the end of Nov.  So until I know what will happen after that I can't commit to the race, and can only halfway commit to the ride.
I am marching on with faith, should have the wife a bike by next week( the scrape iron I have been taking in is going to pay for it, pretty cool huh).  So we are gearing up to go.
If I did race it would be ironman or with Sully or Rocky, if they would have me.

Of course this would require Rocky staying in one piece for longer than 3 months.

Good luck with work Dag....let me know if I can do anything to help.

We've got lots of time before this race/poker run/ride....don't sweat it now

Dist 37 is having a desert Scramble on March 22, I assume that is an error 22nd is a Monday,  so I am expecting the race to be on the 21st, at SPANGLER.  The same location as the cal city ride and the same weekend.

This is also the same day as the Glen Helen 6hr.

So I will be staying in Spangler instead of going to GH that day.

I think this is the more accurate calendar.
Looks like it may be an enduro that weekend but I will still stay and do it, instead of the DS the next weekend, it counts as points in the desert series..

The prospectors enduro will be much more fun and challenging than a 6 hour race, and it is local! More fun than a desert race as well.

I will sign up for the race this weekend dag. I would love to run that race with you and then we can have to AS IS race bikes in the race.

That would be cool, Hella.
I have never ran an Enduro, if it is more fun that a desert scrambles I am for sure doing it.

the old-style enduros needed time keeping equipment, but from what I've heard you can run the newer enduros without.  I don't know, haven't run an enduro in 30 years...but it does sound like fun!  What I did when I was a kid was get on a really good rider's minute, and stay with him as much as possible...

How do you know if you are going to get to the check early?  Do they tell you when to be there?  I read the wikipedia on this but it left some unanswered questions.

You should have a pace/schedule you have to keep...so if you're running faster than that, you know you'll be early....I'm not sure, but you used to be penalized for being early too; now I don't think you are...check with D37 Dag...

If there is no penaly for being early on the time then why would they have a time for each section?

Well i went through the rule Dag posted on the Enduro thread and here's what they said about being early- A rider may arrive up to
fifteen minutes early at these known checks
without penalty.
