Alrite so i have an 02 xr100r and I trail ride and thats basically it. Ive had the bike for maybe a year now and have had to change the inner tube around 10 times....I use tuff tubes from kenda and it obviously doesn't work. All my spokes are tight and the trials i ride dont have glass or stuff like that...I just dont know what to do. Ive heard of this thing when you fill your tire with this stuff and it expands and hardens, they use it in utility vehicles like bobcats and stuff so they cant get flats. I was thinkin about doin that but i just want to know if theres any easy solution out there thanks.

How much do you weigh? And how aggressively are you riding it? If the tubes and tires are new, you are wither running over things. Or you are pinching the tube when the tire bottoms on the rim. Tim

Also, try getting some heavy duty tubes. As tim said, tre pressure is important and you should check before each ride.

Well...have you checked the inside of the tires just to make sure there are no spines or anything sticking in it? sometimes wood piece can get lodged in there and you can't tell from the outside....run your finger through the inside to check.
Also...are you hitting rocks or ledges a lot? Is the tire pressure too low? You are most likely pinching the tube on a rock or even possibly after you put it in. When you take the tube out is it a little puncture hole or like one or two little slits somewhere on the tube?

Wow you guys replied really fast..lol...Anyway yea i ride pretty aggresive, where i live theres a lot of rocks and i weigh about 110 pounds. I keep the tire pressure pretty low to absorb the shock from rocks...thats probably wrong isnt it. Its seems pretty logical though. I brought it to a place so they could install it cause i dont have tire spoons and it was a new tire so it was really stiff and they charged 40 bucks so thats bs. The holes are usually holes not slits and they are pretty big, like if i inflate the tire in a couple minutes it'll be completely flat.

Usually a pinch looks more like a slit or cut in the tube than a hole/puncture....but it sounds like that's what you're doing. I keep the pressure low too for the same reason...but I run the ultra heavy duty tubes so they are more resilient. Try finding some of those

It really sounds like the spokes puncturing the tire...

Thats what I was thinking!
Spokes are easily a tube popping culprit. If you dont have rim tape on the spokes, duct tape works just as well. Make sure you put a few strips on. You want all the spokes to be covered up.

I run my tires at 16 lbs. front 14 lbs. rear when I'm in rocks and/or ledges because of this problem. The only time you should drop the pressure down is if you are going to go slow, like Trials riding speed, and you roll the rocks instead of hit them at speed, IMO. Welcome to the board by the way, I look forward to reading more about your dirtbike adventures...

the samething happend to my ttr... for me it was the tire, the inside was no longer smooth and creating tire-popping friction!

I agree with Sully. Are you using the same tire every time? Check it out good or try a different tire.

yeah spaz, I have to admit it's pretty high LOL. I'm a little gunshy after splitting my tire and tube this past summer on a rock ledge. Most of my trails here have rock ledges and/or roots across the trail. I can't see them until it's too late, or I'm too tired to pull it up into a wheelie. I may need a new nickname...
