can any one give me any advice when i'm riding top end of the gear ratio flat out, its not a smooth ride seems to be holding bk like its not getting enough fuel or there is air getting in. i have recently had my piston changed. all my seals re-done and my forks re-done could it be anything to do with the jets? i am new to this so i'm a bit unsure any advise would be great.

Welcome to the board moto!

When the new piston was installed, were new rings, pin, bearing, clips etc. everything installed aswell? and in what shape was the cylinder walls? is the air filter clean?

If all that is in order, it could be a dirty carb, or the jetting is too lean/rich.

If it's not that i'd also check the reeds.

Ok good to hear you've found the problem!

Wonder how the jet cracked? Did it over heat or somethin at some stage that you know of?

it is the main jet that needs to be replaced and just to top things off i dropped the bike and ive broke the front brake server unit,so now i have no front brake i do kind off tho i just have to pump the brake as it loses compression easily never mind aye.

Oh geez man sounds bad! Hope you didnt get hurt?

And yeah the main jet sounds like the problem, because of the unsmooth revs when flat out, and the main jet regulates that area.

Good luck with the front brake and all now!
