My son has a 91 kx125, he is not aggressive at all. He has a chance to swap for a 91 drz350. I didn't know there was a drz350, I hope he means dr350. anyone owned this bike? He is looking for a reliable desdrt bike, not a fast one. and he is at least 180 pounds.

My dad's friend robert had a 350, yes they have made 350's for awhile, and he seems to like it alot. My dad's friend is a bike collector kinda he has 13 bikes. I will see if i can get a hold of him for a review of it. I could remember him saying he liked it because he is a desert guy him self. hope this kinda helps he also so the power was very controlable but thats all i remember.

Naturally, I have ridden that model. It was a very reliable bike, but was heavy at something like 269 without gas. The early models were not always relaible starting. They always start, but not easily. The 91 has a small shock and non-cartridge fork. I think Suzuki upgraded the suspension in 1994 or 1995, and the bike got easier to start. An XR250R is slimmer, lighter, easier to find and has a better reputation. A good low-mileage Kawasaki KLX300 or a KDX200 would be good choices as well.

Thanks. Sounds like he can do better. We'll wait.
