I was thinking lights on the 4 stroke. but maybe an extra rack for the lights on the 250.  I didn't want to run one bike for 24 hrs.  I thought we could which up and service one while the other one ran.

I wasn't thinking about running one bike for the whole race? I wasn't sure who's bike we would be using. I don't mind mine being rode for the race? I perfer to ride a 450 over 250/2 so as long as there is a 450 for me to ride we're cool? If you did get a 450 before the race then we could use yours and mine for the race and everyone ride 450's?

My only concern is Court (now don't get offended girl!) but Court can you handle racing on a 450 or even a 250/2? I know you have rode them before but can you race them (logs, single track)? We all know she's pretty good For A GIRL!! JKing Court, I couldn't resist!

hey guys, sorry it's been so long...

anyway...i feel like i would be more comfortable on a 450 four stroke than on a 250 two stroke...i'm at least familiar with the power bands of four strokes...i'm not really sure about how well i can handle it....i did do the 6 hour on a 250 four stroke, and the bike was fine...i didn't haven't any problems with it...so yea...

I would love to be a part of this because it is fantastic what you are trying to do.  Unfortunately the odds of me being there are about the same as a snowflakes chance in hell.  Although if I was there I would have to be on Spidey's team so he can carry my sorry arse. lol.

SUlly has plenty of skill to ride any of the bikes, but she is really light compared to you guys. Anything you can ride will beat her up. I think the 250 2-stroke can be prepped to go the distance. When you do a race like this, you aren't pushing hard the whole time. The track is rough and chewed to pieces, so much of the time you just want to stay on two wheels. You do ride the track, but you rarely even jump any but the easy jumps. I've done the race on a 250F, and it was fun, but I'd want to start with a YZ/WR or a KTM, and the bike should be nearly new. And it would be far from new at the end.  

Yeah, a vote for the 2-stroke!
I also think it's good to use two bikes so that we can accomodate different sizes/weights of people perhaps, plus less wear and tear on one bike.

I think a 250/4 would be a good choice.  

I know what I do to a bike, I would hate to use any bike but my own.

I tried to pace myself at the 12hr and didn't push for time.  My lap times were slow on purpose, but even when not pushing that hard I still hit the ground more times than I want to remember.

Luckily the bike came out ok just a bent sub frame and radiator and low compression.165.  

I am going to try to sell some bikes this week and get a 250/4,  

Looks like we might have 2 teams, I would like to see the fast guys on one team so they have a chance.  I am happy being on the other team.  So we can run a big bike and a 250/4 on the 2nd team.

Is there anyone who dosen't like the idea of a fast team and a regular team?

I take that back, I might not be so bad on a thumper.  
I will try to sell the bikes get a 250/4, and sully and I will run on the same team we put together to do this.  
I will just have to step up my game.
I am sick of putting myself down, somebody slap me when I do that.
