A group I am involved with here in NW Montana, called Montanans For Multiple Use (MFMU) has joined as co-plaintiff in an October 1, 2009 litigation of the Lewis and Clark National Forest Badger Two Medicine decision to ban motoized use on the nearly 130,000 acre area.  Other plaintiffs include individual citizens and Trail Vehicle Riders Associations.  One of the principle arguments we are making is the arbitrary use of the grizzly bear as a reason to exclude motorized use while allowing non-motorized uses and access.  If this lawsuit prevails in court, it could help keep other National Forest districts open to motorized access and use.  This is a unique case in that it is the first formal lawsuit challenging piecemeal closures in NW Montana.  We also feel this could have positive repercussions throughout the nation's National Forest (public) lands.  Will you consider a donation at this time?  Please don't stand by and watch from the sidelines as the well-funded environmental lobbies successfully shut down your recreation on your public lands!  Only with your suppoort can MFMU continue to fight for your interest in good stewardship of public resources and your right to use public land.  Donations and letters may be sent to:

MFMU

Thank you for your help!  -Paul

You can see more information about our organization here

The main group in the lawsuit, Citizens For Balanced Use, is where we send all donations for this battle.  You can go here to see their website and make donations through paypal.

I spoke with our website guru and he recommended I put up a link to Citizen's For Balanced Use website.  This is the principle group who we are supporting in this particular lawsuit.  So I've edited my post above with this link.  Thank you for your involvement!

I am sorry about the paypal link.  I called and left a message on the guy's phone about it, and will try to get it straightened out in the next few days...

You guys are great!  I sure hope we can keep the public land open for the future generations.  Even my own life time for that matter...
