Did a Comp test on my sons bike yesterday, bike has 110 lbs. I understand that 150-180 is ideal. The cylinder wall looks good and very smooth. I ordered new rings and cleaned ports. Does the cylinder wall have a nickel coated liner that is not to be honed??? Anything else that I should be looking for while the bike is apart? The bike obviously has low compression. Hopefully this will fix the exhaust blow by, power loss and vibration.
Thanks, Troy

yes it is a nickel seal cylaynder. i would suggest that you deglaze the cylaynder before installing the new piston and rings. this will help the new ones seat better.
you can do this by using a piece of scotch brite. when you get the scotch brite get the green stuff this works the best.
yes this will give you the power back and take care of the blow by and maby the vibration also check for loose motor mounts that will cause a vibration as well.
