Need some major help ...

I just bought a 1983 Yamaha YZ80 and the chain came off and it hit the clutch and knocked it out, then put a hole in what I think is the crankcase and the crankcase cover. Not sure though, and it also makes this really bad noise that sounds like metal on metal, but we think that it the clutch bouncing around in the broken crankcase. So I need some help ... I think what I need to get is the crankcase, crankcase cover, and I need the chain adjustment thing on the back part of the frame, near the back tire, on both sides, to tighten or loosen the chain. So, any help and advice would be helpful. I am having trouble finding the parts because it is an older bike ... so I am kinda pissed because I can't ride now ... I need to get a better bike anyhow ...  

welcome to the board!

my advice is if you are going to stick it out with this bike, to try and find a parts bike for it. if you can find one they usually are cheap, 200-300 at most and come with everything on your bike, just the parts bikes usually don't run and the owner didn't feel like dumping more money into them. it knocked your clutch out? i am confused as to what you mean, any chance of some pictures? ~pat

We really need pictures, the clutch is on the opposite side of the chain, so I can't understand what you mean by "out of place".

your wires or crank sensor is busted or broken. When the chain derails........its like a train derailing.....dammages everythang!
