This is great, thanks guys. Great reasons, and I really like my poem. And being compared to Rudy - great movie! In fact we have a guy at the office named Rudy, and I nicknamed him "RU-DY! RU-DY! RU-DY! RU-DY!" and really do chant that in the halls when I see him (I'm sure Jesse will chime is to confirm this and say how dorky that is).

Just want to add -

TRUTH: Jimmy has said this many times in the mag and here on the site, the magazine is done for you. If you have something you want to see more of, less of, or have new ideas, tell us. We take your comments seriously. In fact we were in a meeting yesterday taking about what to do for the off road shootout and we were hoping you guys responded with some good ideas. It really is a magazine made for the readers so tell us what you want. Forum threads are great, but the best way, and the way to ensure your comment will go to every editor here at the mag is to e-mail to drmail@sorc.com. That 'Let DR Build Your Bike" story  in the top thread in the General Discussion forum is because we've gotten really good response to the last few bike build stories. If you want YOUR bike considered for a DR project, submit it there.

IN FUN: This 'put Pete on the cover' is fun stuff and maybe with enough support it could help, but the reality is we need a great photo for the cover that relates to what's in the issue, and it's hard for a "Joe Average" guy to compete with the top racers and the bike hogs I have to work with here at the mag! But with enough demand maybe I could twist Jimmy's arm to give me a photo shoot on one of the test bikes. I've had a few chances, but when Ryan Orr destroys a berm for his shot and I cruise through the same corner for my shot, guess which photo is more dramatic?

And just in case anyone is feeling too sorry for me, don't. I'm off to Italy tomorrow for the EICMA show. There are going to be some big announcements, and I'm gathering info on new products for the Gear Bag section that I put together for the mag every month. Watch for my blogs from the show and watch for a big announcement from KTM to hit the top story next week.

I'm also very glad to hear people like that I grabbed the 125 for my long haul. For next year I might go with the KTM150, maybe the KTM 250 two-stroke, or maybe just lay low and hope Yamaha forgets I have their 125 for the next year? Call it my REALLY LONG HAUL bike.

Isn't there a group photo from the 24 hour that you could put on the cover? I think that would represent what the magazine is all about.

uhh...hmmmm....er.... it's actually "ciao"  and it's used to say hello and goodbye...

I live in an Italian neighbourhood.

Italy is by far, one of my favourite places in Europe.  Great people.

I think a shot of Pete attacking that giant log would be a great , cover.    I think the responsibility of a great shot lies with the photographer.
And i don't think anyone is feeling sorry for you,  maybe envy that you got to run the worcs track
