Can I use an 86 YZ250 cylinder on an 87 YZ250

I found that the prefix on the part numbers for an 86 and 87 are different but I would like to know if the 86 cylinder will work on an 87 YZ250. Thanks

Well, as I recall the cylinders would likely physically fit either year, but I remember the 86 and 87 motors had very different power characteristics, so can't say 100% if you can just swap and do nothing else and be successful.
