i feel stupid... whats the right way to clean an air filter? just curous i know alot of people have their different ideas.

Dude, when is the last time it was cleaned?
OK, first take the filter out of the air box, put it on your head snuggly, apply Head & Shoulders shampoo to it, then get on your bike and ride around in circles for 15 minutes.

I use the No Toil kit. In fact, I just went and picked up a new one today. They give you a powder that you dissolve into warm water, then wash the filter well in that water, let dry overnight, then spray the entire filter with the filter oil very well. Squeeze out any excess oil. Also apply the silicone around the edge of the filter to help seal it back on the airbox opening.

hahaha such a good idea man... would axe shampoo work though all i got =[ and *** it will clean its dandruff to =P haha or so it says...
nah i havent cleaned it since i have had the bike im figuring that could be another issue of me staling a *** ton lol but this last time i went i wasn't having much of a problem with that =] just didn't let off as much

Yeah, you definitely need to be cleaning it much more often. I clean mine about every 3rd or 4th ride.

so clean it as often as i do an oil change good to know i have about 20 hours on the bike with out cleaning it... crap thats not a good thing.. lol
