hey guys i am looking to get into motocross i have ridden my friends crf150r and i like it so i am looking to get a bike i am 6'2 and i am looking At a 250f to race what model 250f. i will be buying used. also what spare parts will i need on race day thanks

i would look at a yz250f they seem to be one of the most reliable if not yz CRF for sure 07 or newer.  
i take a lot of pride in what i am

All the manufacturers make good bikes, but if you're buying used you may be limitd by your budget.  Remember tho - you get what you pay for, so ask the seller lots of questions no matter which bike you get.

Go to the track a few times and talk to some of the other riders.  See what they bring with them on race day.

The two with the strongest engines are the CRF250R and KTM 250SXF. If you get a CRF, the 07 and up has much better valves that dont wear near as fast. The YZ250F has a really strong top end, but not quite as much bottom end as the CRF and KTM. Where are you from?
