As some of you have read my dad has been in the hospital.  I thank you for your well wishes.  He was admitted a week ago when he had some pain in his leg.  As expected he had blood clots again.  He has had chronic problems with clotting for years now.  seems my brother and I have inherited this problem as well as I am still on blood thinners for my less severe blood clot in my leg.  Dad had several form at once and a couple made it to his lungs again.  It's dangerous there and they put him on a really strong thinner to quickly remove his clots.  His blood being that thin puts him in serious danger of hurting himself.  That is why he was in the ICU so they could keep a close eye on him if he did get cut or bruised.

He was not in any pain and his spirits were high.  His sense of humor was unfazed as well. LOL

Today he got to come home.  Happy to be out of the hospital he came home to a bit of a surprise from me.  Before he went into the hospital he was busy clearing some brush and trees from his property.  What was left was a big pile of trees that needed to be cut up and stacked.  Today my neighbor Mike and I went over there and cleaned up the yard for my dad, and Mike got a truckload of firewood for his labor.  A few hours of working a chainsaw and stacking wood has left me with a sore back and shoulders.  But helping dad out made me feel a lot better.  Too bad I had to stare at the unfinished waterfall project the whole time. LOL  I have not been able to handle that project since I kept getting injured this summer.  My shoulder (partially separated) is really giving me fits.  Today's work and going for a ride yesterday has my shoulder throbbing tonight.

Oh and that is something else I am excited about.  I went riding for the first time since the GH24hr race.  I did try once but only managed some 15 minutes on the bike before the pain made me stop.  This time out was a group ride with a few of my neighbors and their kids.  I did snap a picture of my tuck loaded up but did not have a lot of time before dark so I did not bother taking pics while riding.  My neighbor Crazy Dave's truck was fully loaded with bikes as well.

Late October is also a very busy time for me with all of the Halloween stuff going on and my kids activity groups squeezing in as much as they can before the snow flies.

Here are some pics from my daughters Horseback Halloween party.  They dress up the horses and make themes with matching costumes for the kids.

My kids and their horse.  Same costume for the horse as last year but my daughter got to be an angel as well.  My son Tyler does not ride and was not a part of theme. but he wanted in the picture anyway.

Some of the other horses.

Halloween at my aunts house is always a big party.  They go all out.

Sure I had lots of room.  After loading up the first time I realized I had lots of room on the trailer for the little quad.  On the way home it looked much less packed.

Thanks Karel.  I'm hoping it will be strong enough for sledding when the first snows hit.  I can't wait to get my big toy out.

Haha!  Nice Halloween pics.  Looks like a Ninja warrior on the palamino.

Glad your dad is doing so much better and is home again.  You need to take care of yourself too tho, so hold off on riding bikes or sleds until your shoulder is all the way healed.
