When you are rebuilding your topend and putting your new gaskets on do you have to use some kind of gasket sealer?

yea the purple goo stuff,.. forgot the name.. ugh hi tack hi tack use it dont get it in the engine

i just rebuilt my top end and was wondering the same thing so i called the local yami shop and they told me no,the only gaskets that need it are the rubber o rind head gaskets and you only use a little grease on them or vasaline. so i went without sealent and my bike is running great.....its your call good luck
